Rules

Performance rules:

1. The competition will be held with a short straight axis.

2. The athlete should turn his back to the standing position, the axis should be at hip height, the axis should be held with the palms out, the feet should be straight (flat) on the platform, the knees should be straight, the arms should be extended. The head, back and buttocks should be firmly supported on the stand during the lifting and lowering phase.

3. Feet should be placed on the platform on the marking line, which will be 30 centimeters away from the stand.

4. After taking the barbell from the stand, the athlete must lean on the stand to take the starting position. The athlete must attempt the Referee’s signal in the starting position, the signal is given while the athlete is still and the axis is correctly placed, the head is raised, the hands are fully lowered and straightened. The command of the main referee will be “Start”.

5. After giving the command, the athlete must bring the barbell into motion. The barbell should be raised correctly parallel to the shoulders, the raised barbell should be fixed to the chin or neck. The knees should remain straight, and the head, back, and buttocks should be supported on the floor throughout the ascent and descent phase.

6. Legs and hips should not be used as an impetus to complete the movement, any push from the legs or hips is not allowed.

7. Any lifting or attempted movement without the referee’s permission will be considered an attempt (reach).

8. The raised bar should be fixed for 2 seconds in the final phase.

9. When the athlete reaches the final position, the Chief Referee will give the command “down”. The command will not be given until the bar is stationary and the athlete is in a pronounced final position.

10. Knees remain straight when lowering the barbell. With the head, back and buttocks resting on the rack, the athlete must attempt the command to put the barbell after dropping the barbell.

11. With the permission of the chief referee, the athlete may be allowed an additional attempt (arrival) at the same weight if the reason for the unsuccessful attempt was the error of one or more lifters (loaders).

12. The right to an additional try (arrival) is judged by 3 referees.

13. There are 3 attempts in total, the fourth attempt is not allowed.

14. A fourth additional attempt is allowed if the athlete claims a record weight, which, if lifted, will not be included in the result but will be recorded as a record.

15. The record will be considered when the athlete exceeds the record weight by at least 0.25 kilograms.

16. It is possible to add weight to the barbell at intervals of at least 0.25 kilograms.

Reasons for disqualification:

1. Raising the main referee without starting.

2. When the arrival will start with unyielding arms.

3. Holding the barbell with hips. (push)

4. Any downward movement of the bar before it reaches the final position of the lift.

5. Lean forward to help lift the weight.

6. The head, back or buttocks are removed from the stand when the barbell is raised or lowered.

7. Bending the knees.

8. Any movement or bending of the legs.

9. Lowering the barbell without the order of the chief referee.

10. Placing the barbell on the stand without the order of the chief referee.

Outfit:

The athlete must wear sports singlet, a shirt with short sleeves so that the referee can see the athlete’s arms in their entirety to better evaluate the lifting of the barbell.

The athlete should not wear shoes that can slip while lifting the barbell.

Barbell and discs:

The competition will be held with a 10 kg biceps classic bar, biceps ez bar, biceps w bar

It will be used: 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.5, 0.25, 0.125 kilogram discs.
